Harlan man dies after truck collides with train

A Harlan County man died Monday from injuries he sustained when his pickup truck collided with a train Sunday, according to Kentucky State Police.

Rodney Bolin, 44, of Evarts died Monday evening at a hospital in Tennessee, where he had been taken after the wreck.

Police said Bolin was trying to cross CSX tracks at Cawood when a train hit his 2011 Nissan Frontier in the driver's-side door.

Bolin's 9-year-old son, whose name was not released, was injured in the wreck.
