3 killed in Perry County crash, police say

Three people died and one person was injured in a crash on Ky. 15 in Perry County on Wednesday, Kentucky State Police said.

Those killed were identified as Danny Caudill, 34, and William Belcher, 70, and his wife Lillie Belcher, 72, all of Breathitt county.

According to the state police, Danny Caudill's wife, Billie Caudill, was driving a Ford Contour when she crossed the center line on Ky. 15 and hit the Belchers' truck head on at Tenmile Creek, near the Perry-Breathitt line, at about 1 p.m.

Billie Caudill was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where she was in stable condition, state police said.

Ky. 15 was closed for nearly 2½ hours after the crash.
