More than 3,200 entered for Bluegrass 10,000

Official entries for Thursday’s annual Bluegrass 10,000 footrace total 3,269.

Of those, 1,681 are male, 1,588 female.

The Bluegrass record for entries, 3,782, came in 2009. A record 3,705 finished that year’s race.

Thursday’s race will begin and finish on Main Street in downtown Lexington.

The crank wheelchair division will start Thursday morning at 7:20, followed by push wheelchairs at 7:25. The 10K runners and walkers will go off at 7:30, and a mile “fun run” is set for 8:15.
