Twenty arrested in Laurel County drug sweep

Twenty people were arrested in a July Fourth Laurel County drug roundup dubbed "Independence from Drug Dealers."

According to the Laurel County Sheriff John Root, four teams of deputies, city police officers from London and Williamsburg, and Kentucky State Police served warrants based on undercover investigations. Drugs, money and vehicles were also seized. Those arrested were taken to the Laurel County Detention Facility. Five warrants remain to be served.
