Legends unplug Power in series opener

July 5, 2013

Leonel Santiago (1-0) scattered five hits in seven shutout innings and the Lexington Legends opened a four-game series against the host West Virginia Power with a 3-0 victory.

Mark Threlkeld's double in the third inning scored Raul Mondesi for the only run the Legends would need. John Walter came on in the ninth and retired the side for his first save with Lexington.
