A house on the 300 block of West Seventh Street in Lexington was hit by a bullet Saturday night.

Lexington police Lt. Sam Murdock said police were called to the home just after 7 p.m. He said five people were inside the house when it was hit by the bullet, but no one was injured.

The shot appeared to have been fired from about 75 yards away; Murdock said police do not believe the home was the intended target.

Police were looking for the shooter.
