Legends' win streak ends as Greensboro rolls 7-2

July 10, 2013

Jesus Solorzano's three-run homer in the sixth inning put Greensboro in front, and the visiting Grasshoppers went on to a 7-2 win over Lexington Tuesday night, snapping the Legends' winning streak at five games.

Lexington starter Daniel Stumpf, who pitched a no-hitter in his last start July 2, did not allow a hit until Anthony Gomez singled with one out in the fourth. Stumpf maintained the shutout through five innings, but Greensboro broke through in the sixth.

The Legends' lead in the South Atlantic League Southern Division was cut to one game over Greenville, which beat Charleston 2-1.
