At Burgers and Beats, you'll get to eat, ensuring that others may, too

Spend a Sunday evening enjoying great burgers, music and family games while helping to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to families in need.

Proceeds from Burgers and Beats will go to Faith Feeds/GleanKY. The event, 5 to 8 p.m. July 21, will be at Wallace Station, 3854 Old Frankfort Pike, Versailles. Entertainment will be provided by Silverback, and Crank & Boom will serve craft ice cream. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 ages 8-12, free for children 7 and younger. Go to Faithfeedslex.org.

• Jonathan at Gratz Park, 120 West Second Street, will have a Yucatan pig roast at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The menu features a traditional slow-roasted pork dish from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mavan origin. Preparation of traditional cochinita or puerco pibil involves marinating the meat in citrus juice, coloring it with annatto seed and roasting the meat while it is wrapped in banana leaf. • Woodford Reserve Distillery's chef-in-residence, Ouita Michel, and chef-de-cuisine, Nat Henton, are creating a lavish buffet for its Bourbon, Pork & Pie supper on Saturday. The menu, which features produce from neighboring farms, includes slow-roasted pulled pork shoulder, smoked baby back ribs, pork loin salsa verde, Cantonese style pork belly, bourbon- and sorghum-glazed ham served with Thai slaw vinaigrette, loaded baked potato gratin, slow-cooked greens and a variety of pies. • Fresh corn and tomatoes have arrived at Ramsey's Diner. The corn is picked daily at Gallrein Farms in Shelbyville, and the vine-ripened tomatoes are from Lincoln County farmers. Farmers market report

• Blue Moon Farm, a vendor at Lexington Farmers Market, has harvested more than half of its 2013 garlic crop. "Harvest started a bit late this year, due, I guess, to the cool spring, but it was worth the extra wait," farmer Leo Keene said. Go to Bluemoongarlic.com.

• Bluegrass Farmers' Market will have black raspberries, tomatoes, lettuce, squash, cucumbers, green beans, potatoes, lamb, goat, chicken, beef, pork, baked goods, herb seasoning, pimento and beer cheeses, jams and eggs. Go to Bluegrassfarmersmarket.org.

• Winchester/Clark County Farmers Market has black raspberries, white half runners, Italian flat beans, tomatoes, eggplant, cabbage, turnips, melons, peaches and strawberries. Hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday on Main Street. On July 20, the market will move to a new location on Depot Street.
