A marijuana plant

Deputies with the Boyle County Sheriff's Office seized several hundred marijuana plants Saturday that were cultivated indoors and outdoors near the Parksville and Forkland communities.

The sheriff's office received a tip about the plants and were assisted by Kentucky State Police and a federal Drug Enforcement Administration agent.

A state police helicopter found more plants growing on a hillside at a separate location. Parksville and Forkland are southwest of Danville.
