Lexington boxer Samantha Kinchen has won her second national title this year.

The Henry Clay High School senior, ranked No. 1 in the country in her division, defeated California's Angelina Banks in a majority decision in the finals of the Women's National Golden Glove Championships in the youth (age 17-18) 152-pound weight class. It was Kinchen's only fight of the tournament. The championships took place July 9-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

In April, Kinchen won the USA Boxing National Welterweight Championship in Spokane, Wash. She defeated Taylor Carroll in the title match. In June she beat Carroll in a rematch in Lexington.
