A Campton woman was killed and two people were injured in a two-car accident Monday evening on Ky. 15 north of Campton in Wolfe County, according to a state police news release.

Dana Lutes, 37 of Campton, who was a passenger in a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport driven by Chad L. Jones, 35 of Rogers, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the release.

Police said Jones was northbound on Ky. 15 when he lost control of the Mitsubishi, overcorrected and cross the center line into the path of a southbound 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Cathy L. Holthouser, 59, also of Rogers.

Holthouser was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital and was in fair condition Tuesday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Jones was taken to Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson before being transferred to UK and was listed in critical condition Tuesday.
