Cynthiana woman dies a day after being hit by car

A Cynthiana woman died Tuesday from injuries she obtained after being hit by a vehicle.

Judy Snedeker, 55, was hit while crossing at the intersection of Church and Pleasant Streets Monday in Cynthiana. She was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital, then taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where she was pronounced dead Tuesday, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.

The cause of death was blunt force injury to the head, and the death is being investigated as accidental, according to the coroner's office.

Funeral arrangements were being handled by Ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana.
