One man killed, brother critical injured in Perry County crash

One man was killed and his brother was critically injured Thursday in a wreck on Ky. 15 in Perry County, police said Friday in a news release.

Johnathan Scott Blank, 19, of Hazard died after he was flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. Douglas Andrew Blank, 23, also of Hazard, was listed in critical condition at UK hospital, according to Kentucky State Police.

The single-vehicle collision occurred at 7:13 p.m Thursday in the community of Bonnyman.

The vehicle traveled off the highway, collided with a guard rail, overturned and hit a tree. The car came to rest in a private driveway. Both men were thrown from the vehicle.
