Police: Toddler found walking on Lexington street

August 5, 2013

LEXINGTON — Police said a toddler was found wandering along a Lexington street.

WLEX-TV in Lexington reported that a woman found the toddler, wearing no diaper, playing outside about 11 a.m. Lexington firefighters arrived and diapered the boy.

The boy's mother, who lives next to where he was found, told WLEX 18 that she thought someone was watching her son and she's grateful he's fine.

Child protective services was contacted, but police said it appeared to have been an accident, and charges probably won't be filed.
