Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary calls it quits after 87 years

August 14, 2013

After 87 years of volunteer service, the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary has dissolved. Once boasting a membership of nearly 300 women from 25 local churches and synagogues, the group has served thousands of hours throughout the hospital. In addition to the countless volunteer hours served, the auxiliary also was responsible for more than $1.5 million in gifts to charitable organizations, projects and equipment, community needs and college scholarships in the medical field.
