Georgetown Road was closed Monday afternoon between Ironworks Pike and Berea Road after a crash that damaged a utility pole, Lexington police said.

At 4:50 p.m., Lt. Eric Lowe said there was a significant traffic impact and the road would be closed for at least another hour.

About 11:30 a.m., a utility truck went off the road and hit the pole, Lexington police Lt. Chris Van Brackel said.

Another vehicle also was involved in the crash.

Three people were taken to hospitals, but their injuries weren't life-threatening, he said.

Van Brackel said the road would remain closed until Kentucky Utilities finished clearing the power lines.
