Pulaski County man pleads guilty in heroin death

Anthony Lacortiglia, 29, of Pulaski County, admitted Thursday that the heroin he had given a man resulted in the man's death.

Lacortiglia pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin and distributing heroin that resulted in the death of John Latham in May 2012, according to a press release from the U.S. attorney's office for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Lacortiglia also said during the first day of trial that he had conspired with others to distribute heroin in Pulaski County.

According to the press release, Lacortiglia is to serve 20 years in prison.
