Tompkinsville man arrested, charged with murder

TOMPKINSVILLE – A Tompkinsville man has been arrested in the shooting death of a Bowling Green man, Kentucky State Police said Saturday.

Police said they received a call at 8:43 a.m. Friday from the Monroe County sheriff’s office about a deceased male inside a residence on Galilee Road, about 10 miles west of Tompkinsville.

Police said Terry Alexander, 33, of Bowling Green, had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County coroner.

Police said DeMarcus Hamilton, 32, of Tompkinsville was arrested in Cookeville, Tenn., and charged with murder.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
