The Lexington Minority and Women Business Training Program, a six-week training program covering all aspects of business management from strategic planning to financial accounting. 9 a.m.-noon one day a week beginning Sept. 25. Application deadline: Sept. 11. Cost: $50, includes breakfast. To qualify, participants must have a business that is 51 percent owned by women or minorities. The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics' Institute for Business Management & Leadership Excellence will be offered in two segments, Series 1 and 2, meeting one night a week at UK's Boone Center. Series 2, Executive Business Management & Leadership, will meet 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 20-May 29, 2014.
