Clay County emergency management official dies in ATV accident

A Clay County official died Sunday when an all-terrain vehicle flipped over on him, coroner Danny Finley said.

Jennings Johnson, the assistant director of emergency management services in Clay County, died in a medical helicopter on the way to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, Finley said. Johnson's age was not immediately available.

Johnson was attending to a deer feeder when the accident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Twin Oaks Lane in Clay County, Finley said.
