UPDATE: In a news release Wednesday night, Laurel County Sheriff John Root said Cynthia V. Mullins, 45, of London, had been arrested on two felony warrants for theft by unlawful taking in this case. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.

The Laurel County sheriff's office is looking for a "gang" of shoplifters that it says have been regularly stealing diapers, baby formula and other items from Dollar General and Wal-Mart stores.

The group includes a woman, two teenage boys and two young children.

The sheriff's office said in a news release that deputies want to talk to a woman named Cynthia Boone about the thefts.

They are also looking for a maroon Mercury Mountaineer with the license plate number 613 BEM.

The sheriff's office said "large quantities" of items were taken "with great frequency" last week and over the weekend, leading them to suspect that the goods are being resold.

Surveillance video showing the alleged perpetrators was obtained by deputies after one of the most recent thefts, at the Dollar General store on Ky. 229 south of London.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Laurel County Sheriff's office at (606) 864-6600.
