Fifth-graders see firsthand how Keeneland works

August 29, 2013

Fayette County fifth-graders got behind-the-scenes tours of Keeneland in Lexington. Much of the experience was hands on. The children learned how the starting gate opens and functions, and some put their new knowledge to use. They met the track mascot and some horses while hearing about the special touches on the Keeneland grounds. Photos by Matt Goins.
