High school football highlights: Elijah Bell scores 4 TDs in Henry Clay's rout of Pike Central

Henry Clay senior running back scored four touchdowns in the first half in the Blue Devils' 52-14 rout of Pike Central in the Pike County Bowl at Belfry.

Three of Bell's TDs covered more than 40 yards, including a 67-yard catch from Sammy Carter that got the scoring started. He followed that up with TD runs of 74, 3 and 43 yards.

Bell wound up with 211 rushing yards on 10 carries. Henry Clay totaled 430 yards on the ground, including 89 (and two TDs) from Joquise Buford.

Carter was 7-for-12 for 120 yards and also threw TD passes to Austin Black and Colby Barnes.

Mac Justice was the standout for Pike Central. He completed 20 of 41 pass attempts for 249 yards and two TDs. Brad Elkins had five catches for 129 yards and one score.

Madison Central 23, Woodford County 21: Ben Durham kicked a 31-yard field goal with one second left to give the Indians a come-from-behind win at Woodford County.

Ben Smart's third-quarter TD run gave Woodford County a 21-14 lead.

The Indians' John Williams caught a 44-yard pass from Zach Hardin with 1:47 to go, but Madison Central's two-point conversion attempt failed and left the Yellowjackets with a 21-20 lead.

Woodford's Smart finished with two TD runs and Dalton Rose added 137 yards and one score.

Scott County 56, Ryle 14: Scott Daniel caught four touchdown passes from Clay McKee and added another on a 55-yard punt return in the Cardinals' win at Georgetown.

Daniel finished with six catches for 111 yards. He also had three carries for 18 yards.

Noah Hughes had a team-high 113 rushing yards for Scott County. Dylan Smith, Theo Price and Keith Guy ran for a TD apiece.

Both of Ryle's scores came on passes from Gavin Brandt to Ryan Hill.

Paul Dunbar 27, East Jessamine 12: Dunbar QB Emory Thompson ran for 113 yards and a TD, threw a TD pass to Marcellis Means, and added an interception on defense.

Derante Sanders blocked a punt and returned it 39 yards for a touchdown. He finished with seven solo tackles and five assisted.

Tates Creek 41, Moore 0: Junior quarterback Graham Gordon threw two touchdown passes and ran for another for the host Commodores.

Casey Grimes scored the game's first and last TDs on 14- and 68-yard runs.

Franklin Co. 46, Western Hills 13: Lorenzo McCaskell scored touchdowns all three times he touched the ball on offense for the Flyers, who scored all of their points in the first half.

McCaskell ran it in from 6 and 60 yards and caught a 46-yard TD pass from Barrett Sanderson. Chris Roberts added 128 rushing yards and scored two TDs.

Lexington Christian 33, Estill County 14: Nick Whitman ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles. Dylan Lancaster added 130 yards and one TD run.

Russell County 48, Campbellsville 6: The Lakers had four punt returns for touchdowns — two apiece by Blake Ellis and Evan Fletcher. All of Russell County's 294 yards off offense came on the ground. Fletcher led the way with 218 yards, including a 58-yard TD.

Anderson County 50, Clark County 21: Zach Carmichael, Ryan Martin and Chris Toomey each ran for two TDs in the Bearcats' win.

Cooper 31, Newport Central Catholic 22: Senior QB Will Ludwig threw three TD passes in the Jaguars' win.

Lloyd Memorial 63, Dayton 12: Brian Warren ran for three TDs (9, 1 and 47 yards) for the Juggernauts.
