Bowling: Three find joy in Joyland season opener

Three bowlers at Joyland Bowl started their season off right on Aug. 26.

Chris Preston and David Hooper both rolled 800 series and Rusty Parsons turned in a perfect game.

Preston rolled games of 296-289-225 for an 810. Hooper rolled an 803 on games of 279-235-289.

Parsons rolled the first perfect game at Joyland this season.

■ The renovations at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland should be completed this week. The James R. Wafford Memorial League, with 22 teams bowling on Mondays, should start Sept. 9.

The Lexington youth league will begin competition on Saturday, Sept. 7.
