California-based Steadfast Cos. has purchased a newly developed 150-unit residential complex called the Retreat at Hamburg Place.

Steadfast, based in Irvine, Calif., is the same company that bought the 40/57 apartments at Nicholasville Road and Man o' War Boulevard. That complex includes 436 apartments.

Realtor Ken Silvestri, who brokered the deal, said that the Hamburg luxury apartments are about 90 percent occupied.

Steadfast, which also owns four complexes in Louisville and one in Frankfort, paid $16.3 million for the Hamburg apartments. The apartments are mainly one- and two-bedroom units, with rents starting at $790.
