Driver in Paintsville dies after pulling in front of truck

A woman was killed Wednesday in Paintsville when her vehicle pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer, according to state police.

As Ruth A. Davis tried to turn left onto U.S. 23, she allegedly pulled in front of a 1997 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Dayne Pitts.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. State police did not provide her age or residence.

Information on whether Pitts was injured was not available late Wednesday.
