Lexington police were looking for a man who robbed a Lexington McDonald's and forced the employees into a freezer early Friday.

At 1:24 a.m., police were called to the McDonald's at 1620 Leestown Road, Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.

Employees told police that a man wearing red nylon or a doo-rag over his face climbed through the drive-through window.

Once inside, he pulled a handgun and forced the employees into the freezer, then took the manager to the cash register and safe.

The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash, Roberts said.
