Victim in Waddy collision identified

Police have identified the victim in Thursday's fatal collision in Shelby County.

James Walker, 57, of Lawrenceburg was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred just before 11 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 60 at Waddy.

Police said Walker's pickup was hit by a dump truck, which went out of control when some tread came off one of its tires.

The dump truck driver, Jonathan Denning, 28, of New Albany, Ind., was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
