A Laurel County man was killed Monday in a two-vehicle crash on a rain-slickened road, according to a news release from Sheriff John Root.

Dwight Allen, 63, of London was driving west on Ky. 192 about 11 a.m. when he apparently lost control of his Pontiac Grand Am, which collided with an oncoming Chevrolet Trailblazer, police said.

Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling pronounced Allen dead at the scene of the wreck, two miles west of London.

The driver of the other vehicle, Travis McDaniel, 32, of Corbin, was not seriously injured.
