Public meeting on Town Branch and Rupp

Staff, wire reportsSeptember 18, 2013

Lexington: Citizens will have a chance to weigh in on plans for Town Branch Commons and the reinvention of Rupp Arena at a public meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kentucky Theatre on Main Street. Robert Mankin from NBBJ, the lead architect working on Rupp and a new convention center, and Kate Orff from Scape/Landscape Architecture, winners of an international competition to design Town Branch Commons, will make short presentations and then listen to public comments.

“We need to hear from the public as we begin making important decisions about Rupp and our downtown,” Mayor Jim Gray said in a news release.

Lexington Herald-Leader is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
