Leslie County woman, 25, dies in 3-car crash in Breathitt County

A Leslie County woman died in a three-car crash in the Watts community of Breathitt County, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.

Tabitha Perkins, 25, was pronounced dead Wednesday at the scene of the accident on Ky. 15 by the Breathitt County coroner's office.

Police said a Chevrolet truck driven by Joyce Campbell, who was southbound on Ky. 15, crossed the center line and grazed a small pick-up truck owned by American Electric Power before colliding head-on with Perkins' Chevrolet sport-utility vehicle.

Campbell, 56, of Clayhole in Breathitt County, and two occupants from Perkins' SUV were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not available.
