Casey County jail inmate turns himself in after leaving work detail

A Casey County jail inmate turned himself in early Thursday after walking away Wednesday while on a work-release detail, Kentucky State Police said Thursday.

Michael R. Branham, 19, left a job at a recycling center in Liberty. He turned himself into the Casey County jail.

Branham was wanted on a charge of escape and was incarcerated for fleeing/evading police in a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property under $10,000, and receiving stolen property over $10,000.
