Investigators were at a Lexington apartment complex Friday morning after a fire forced the evacuation of several residents, Lexington Fire Department officials said.

A staff member in the battalion chief's office would provide no immediate information, but WKYT-TV reported that no one was injured when crews were called to the Coolavin Apartments on West Sixth Street just before 3 a.m. Friday.

The station reported that firefighters found that a mattress had been set on fire outside one of the apartments; the fire had spread to a second-floor apartment.
