Noodles and Co. to open Lexington restaurant

October 1, 2013

Noodles and Co. will open its first Lexington restaurant in early 2014 in a former Long John Silver's at 2468 Nicholasville Road.

It will be the first of five planned Lexington stores over five years for the Noodles and Co. franchise.

Chad Colony, president and CEO of Invictus LLC, is Lexington's Noodles and Co. franchisee.

Founded in 1995, Noodles and Co., based in Broomfield, Colo., offers pasta dishes and sandwiches with Asian, Italian and American styles. Menu items include Japanese pan noodles, Wisconsin mac and cheese, pasta fresca and steak Stroganoff.

The publicly traded company (Nasdaq:NDLS), which had its initial public offering in July, reported $89.2 million in total revenue in its most recent quarter, a year-over-year growth of 18.2 percent. It has about 350 restaurants in 26 states and the District of Columbia. The only other Kentucky store is in Florence.
