Five students were taken to a hospital in London on Tuesday afternoon after the school bus they were on went partially off the road, according to Sheriff John Root.

The students had minor injuries at most, according to a news release.

The accident happened about 10 miles north of London when the bus apparently met another vehicle on a narrow stretch of Ky. 1394.

The right-side tires of the bus dropped off the road into a ditch, causing the bus to tilt.

There were more than 50 students on the bus.

The incident happened shortly before 3:30 p.m.
