Harriett Hendren: 11-year-old bow tie designer coming to Mulberry & Lime

hhendren@herald-leader.comOctober 3, 2013

Moziah Bridges, with his handcrafted bow ties, will be at Mulberry & Lime this weekend.

In addition to being the cutest kid ever, 11-year-old Moziah Bridges of Memphis is the founder of Mo's Bows, a company featuring his handmade bow ties.

From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, you can meet the young entrepreneur when he visits Lexington for breakfast and a trunk show of his designs at Mulberry & Lime, 216 North Limestone.

Moziah said that he started his company in 2011, when he was 9 years old. He couldn't find a cool bow tie, so he decided to make and sell his own using his granny's scrap fabric.

The Mo's Bows Etsy store, Etsy.com/shop/MosBowsMemphis, has eye-catching bold patterns in bright, fun colors and classic prints. Prices range from $20 to $55.
