Not guilty plea in fatal stabbing

Lexington: A Lexington woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend Thursday pleaded not guilty Friday in Fayette District Court.

Melinda Dawn Morgan, 34, is charged with murder in the slaying of Antonio Epps, 41, Thursday morning at a residence on Loredo Drive.

The couple lived there with their two children. Epps was rushed to the UK Chandler Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:10 a.m. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
