Lex-Care: Mother needs $600 for car repairs

October 15, 2013

Two cases were received at Lex-Care this week.

The first came from Antoinette Miles, a case manager at Bluegrass IMPACT. Her client is a divorced mother of a daughter with special needs. Her car, which is used to get to her daughter to medical appointments and to get to work, needs repairs estimated at $600. Once the repairs are completed, the family will be financially stable.

Kate O'Ferral, coordinator at the Deep Springs Family Resource Center, is assisting a divorced mother of two who needs $500 to pay a past-due electric bill. The mother has received a long-term position and an increase is wages with the school system. Once she gets caught up with Kentucky Utilities, she will be able to handle her bills.
