Lafayette High School standout Jackson Davis is planning to announce his college decision Monday.

Davis — a 6-foot-7 forward in the Class of 2014 — has narrowed his list to seven schools, according to his father. Those schools are Columbia, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Rice, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.

Lafayette Coach Michael Mendenhall told the Herald-Leader that Davis has no current plans to make a formal announcement. He will likely reveal the decision via social media.

Davis played with the Lexington-based Kentucky Travelers over the summer and is expected to be one of the top players in the state this season.
