Greg and Alice Keller have sold JK's Café in downtown Winchester to concentrate on their other restaurant at Forest Grove Grocery.
"The Forest Grove location is a 50-seat restaurant which has been open for a year," Greg Keller said. "It serves a full breakfast menu with meat and eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, country ham biscuits, breakfast hot Browns and quiche." The lunch menu features chicken salad, beer cheese burgers, hot Brown, soup beans and corn bread, and meatloaf subs.
JK's Café at Forest Grove Grocery is at 4636 Old Boonesboro Road in Clark County. Hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Call (859) 744-4444.
■ Leo Capezzuto closed Casanova, his Italian restaurant on South Broadway, this summer because the building, which once housed The Coach House, was being torn down. While looking for another location, Capezzuto decided to open a small Italian café on Main Street. "Just to not get rusty," he said. Casanova Café, on the ground level of Festival Market, 325 West Main Street, serves bow-tie chicken pesto, lasagna Bolognese, Mediterranean salad, cheese steak sandwich and Italian wedding soup. ■ WineStyles of Lexington, 2535 Nicholasville Road, is introducing the new vintage of The Prisoner at a release party 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
"Most wine drinkers know of Dave Phinney, a hot winemaker who makes very interesting wines from vineyards all over the world, and his labels are very creative and slightly edgy," owner Jim Taylor said. "He is probably best known for The Prisoner, a red blend from California. He always releases the new vintage of The Prisoner on Halloween."
