A house call has new meaning: On Friday, KentuckyOne Health launched a phone-based and video-chat-based treatment option.

KentuckyOne Anywhere Care operates around the clock, providing a professional health consultation within 30 minutes of contact.

It also provides a follow-up report to the patient's KentuckyOne provider after a visit. If needed, the Anywhere Care provider will refer patients for a follow-up clinic visit or to an emergency department.

KentuckyOne Anywhere Care costs $35 a visit and is paid by patients, no matter whether they are covered by insurance. To request a visit through Anywhere Care, call 1-855-356-8054 or go to Kentuckyoneanywherecare.org.

KentuckyOne, based in Louisville, was formed in 2012 with the combination of Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare and St. Joseph Health System.
