Two people were killed in a hit-and-run accident just before 7:05 p.m. Saturday on Ky. 1010 near Ezel in Morgan County.

Kentucky State Police said Elizabeth Thornsberry, 41, of Ezel, and Tony Ross, 48, of Clearfield had been at Jaspers Bar in Maytown. Ross left Jaspers Bar on foot and was followed by Thornsberry in her 2001 Pontiac Bonneville, traveling east toward Ezel.

State police surmised that Thornsberry stopped and got out to speak with Ross. They were standing in the westbound lane when a westbound vehicle struck and killed them.

The vehicle is thought to be a full-size blue GMC pickup with damage to the front grill and bumper. As of Sunday afternoon, the truck and driver had not been found. Kentucky State Police in Morehead asked that anyone with information about the case call (606) 784-4127.
