Where were you when Kennedy was shot?

Nov. 22 marks the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination. It's one of those landmark dates that if you were alive in 1963, you most likely know where you were when you heard the news.

Tell us your story in 250 words or fewer. Email it to reporter Greg Kocher, gkocher1@herald-leader.com; or mail your story to When Kennedy Was Shot, c/o Greg Kocher, Lexington Herald-Leader, 100 Midland Avenue, Lexington, Ky. 40508.

Please include your name, age, where you live and a daytime phone number.

The deadline to receive your story is noon Nov. 15.

We will include a selection of stories we receive in the news paper before the anniversary.

Lexington Herald-Leader is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
