— A Woodford County woman died early Sunday after she lost control of her SUV and it hit a fence on Grassy Springs Road, Versailles police said.

Maria Ochoa, 38, was traveling east on Grassy Springs near U.S. 60 about 4 a.m. when her vehicle failed to navigate a curve, left the road and struck a wood fence before coming to a rest in a field, according to the Versailles Police Department. Ochoa was pronounced dead at the scene by officials with the Woodford County coroner's office.

Police said Ochoa's husband and daughter also were in the sport utility vehicle. They were taken to Frankfort Regional Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
