Friday night's match with Ohio State (10-6-3, 4-5-2 Big Ten) will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two sides, with Kentucky holding the 4-0-1 lead in the series. The last time Kentucky and OSU met was in 2006, where UK took home a 2-0 win.

MAC Herrmann Award finalist Arin Gilliland leads Kentucky in scoring with 31 points for the year on 11 goals and nine assists, both team highs. The junior has played over 1,700 minutes on the pitch for UK and has hat tricks against Alabama and Tennessee.

Men head to C-USA semis

After an overtime win over Old Dominion on Wednesday night, the Kentucky men's soccer team face host Charlotte in the Conference USA Tournament semifinals, Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Transamerica Field.

UK has netted 25 goals and allowed 24 in 19 games in 2013, owning advantages in shots (291-203) and corners (110-93), and a 1.21 goals-against average.

Individually, senior forward Tyler Riggs leads UK in scoring with six goals and one assist, with the Louisville native looking to become the first UK player to lead the Wildcats in scoring for four consecutive years.

Senior Brad Doliner has five goals and one assist, with sophomore Isak Krogstad adding four goals and three assists.

In goal, UK has been led by first-team All-Conference USA keeper Callum Irving, who has a 1.10 goals-against average in 15 games, saving 45 shots and earning six shutouts. Senior Jack Van Arsdale has a 1.63 goals-against average in five games.

The game against Charlotte will be a rematch of an Oct. 19 game that saw the 49ers get a 1-0 win behind an own goal from the UK backline.

Charlotte leads the all-time series with UK 2-0, also posting a win in Lexington in 2012.
