Nicholasville man charged in fatal hit-and-run collision

November 15, 2013

A Nicholasville man has been charged in a hit-and-run collision Wednesday night that killed a pedestrian, police said.

Curtis G. Pack, 44, was arrested Friday on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident and with tampering with evidence. More charges could be filed later, said Sgt. Scott Harvey of the Nicholasville Police Department.

Linda Wilhoite, 50, died after she was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night at Southview and Edgewood drives.

The police department's accident-reconstruction team was investigating in the area Friday when they noticed a vehicle parked several blocks away that matched the description of one that was seen in the area that night.

The vehicle, a blue Chevy Blazer belonging to Pack, had minor front-end damage. After officers compared that damage to the evidence recovered at the scene, they interviewed Pack and then arrested him.

Pack was being held in the Jessamine County jail.
