Progress occurs on new bridge for road at Fayette, Clark county line

November 18, 2013

A new bridge is taking shape on Grimes Mill Road over Boone Creek as crews continue upgrades to the aging structure. The road at the Fayette and Clark county line has been closed since late July to allow for the demolition and replacement of the bridge. The side trusses are being reused, but the rest of the bridge and abutments will be new. The project will cost $643,173. It is expected to be finished by the end of the year or beginning of next year. Photo gallery
