Lexington police charged a woman with child endangerment and two men with drug offenses after officers searched a home Monday night.

Patricia Payton, 24, was charged with wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor, according to police.

Two small children found in the home were placed in the care of a family friend, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.

The two men were charged drug trafficking, but their names were not immediately available.

The arrests were made after officers executed a search warrant just after 10 p.m. Monday at a home on Dix Drive, Roberts said.
