Lexington police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating five men for questioning in connection with a fatal nightclub shooting last week, said Lt. Brian Maynard in a Wednesday news conference.

Pictures of the men were sent to the media for assistance.

The men are "persons of interest," in the Nov. 13 shooting of Curtis Simmons, 33, in the parking lot of Divas Gentlemen's Club on Russell Cave Road, Maynard said. He did not identify them as suspects.

Maynard said both the video footage from the 2:30 a.m. shooting and witnesses provided police with descriptions of the men.

Simmons died of multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.

It was the second fatal shooting at Divas since September.
