Female UK student is robbed on Columbia Avenue

University of Kentucky police are looking for information regarding a robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon.

A man grabbed and pepper-sprayed a female student along the sidewalk of Columbia Avenue, just west of Pennsylvania, about 4:05 p.m., according to a news release.

The man took the student's phone before leaving. He is described as white, 18 to 22 years old, standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall. The release said he was last seen running north toward Rose Lane wearing a black jacket with black pants, an orange hat and gray shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call UK police at 859-257-8573.
